MAGIC AND RELIGION
Speaking in generic terms, most magical traditions based on religious beliefs perceive the divine god or goddess as the source of their magical power. Prayer and ritual ceremonies are usually required to perform magic, which are referred to as miracles. Some religious sects, however, perceive any form of magic (even faith-based white magic) as the work of evil forces and will go out of their way to cleanse the world of the agents of evil.
Priests and Dark Priests must maintain the favor of their chosen deity in order to cast spells.
